Spring Stove Top Potpourri

Spring is right around the corner and I can’t get enough of everything warm weather related! Cue the opened windows and clothes hanging to dry outside! This crazy warm weather we have been getting has me ready for spring in all the right ways. When I think spring, I think fresh! Fresh air, fresh flowers, I could go on all day. It’s got me simplifying around the house too.

Every January when the Christmas decorations come down, everything seems so bare! I miss all the garland and twinkling lights. But as soon as spring is in sight I find the bareness refreshing. It’s refined, clean and fresh. There’s that word again! Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite Stove Top Potpourris. This stuff keeps your house smelling beyond fresh! I love candles as much as the next gal but I swear this stuff actually fills my entire house, upstairs and all, with the smell. Yet is not overbearing at all.

•2 lemons, quartered
•couples sprigs of rosemary
•few drops of vanilla

Add all your ingredients to a tea kettle or saucepan. Fill with water. Simmer on low as long as you’d like! Just keep adding water as needed. This stuff will stay good for a couple weeks. Just turn on and add water when you’re ready!
